Whirlpool American Style Fridge Freezer

Hi all, we have a Whirlpool American Style Fridge Freezer.
It has filtered and chilled water and an Ice maker, the water is filtered by a filter in the lower front panel.

There is a digital display which tells how much is left of the filter capacity, it counts down from 99%.

When the filter is finished it shows 01% and flashes.

Handbook says replace it and the display will rest to 99%.

Problem is that it hasn't rest, still flashing 01%.

It's been replaced by a genuine Whirlpool filter.

Anyone got any ideas please?

u should be able to reset it by the two bottom buttons on the display
