sizing of open flash economiser for R717
Hello, I am new on this site and see there is a load of information on this site. I could not find a similar topic so quickly so I am posting a new thread:
I need to design/size a open flash economiser for a R717 plant, but I do not know.
Anybody could give my guidelines of tell me where to find guidelines or examples?
Thanks

Re: sizing of open flash economiser for R717
It's approximately the same problem as sizing a flash tank on a steam system. If you have a Sarco Steam Handbook I believe they have an example in there. Just substitute the steam/water properties using ammonia at the approriate operating conditions.
If all else fails, ask for help.
