    Lp switch Settings



    How do iI set an LP switch with a differential for a coldroom.What sort of pressures do I require to maintain a temperature of bettween 0 and 5 degrees with the compressor cutting out and kicking in normally.

    Are these exam questions coming round again?

    With the LP switch - read the instructions that come with the switch.

    What sort of refrigerant are you using?

    You fit a thermostat for an accurate control of temperature as pressures vary with temperature and therfore an lp control switch will require constant adjustment and readjustment.

    I read your question as: you need to control a cooler with the LPC and you need the pressure settings.

    Let's assume this is a small beverage cooler with a forced air evap. I'll also assume you were giving celsius temperatures being it's R-22.

    0 C = 32 F
    5 C = 41 F

    You could start with these settings and adjust as needed for proper temps and to prevent short cycling.

    cut in: 64 psi
    cut out: 34 psi
