Question New Refrigerant with old evaporator

Joe consumer here. If I replace a 20+ year old R-22 home AC condenser with one with current new refrigerants will I have to replace the evaporator (only 2 years old) in the furnace? What is the most common refrigerant used in new home AC systems?

Probably but your best option is to ask the manufacturer.

if the outdoor unit is not broken, why not clean the tubes en switch to R290 ? it is the best replacement for R22. just be careful, its flameble gaz.
