Refrigerant RX4
Hi all,

have been lookin at a low temp freezer cabinet
holding at -40c, marked as running on refrigerant "RX4"
prob a trade name but no luck so far in tracking it.
compressor is a hermitic marked for R507 on ester, system is on capillary line.

Re: Refrigerant RX4
Hi Radiohead.
I remember rx4 from about 14 years ago.We retrofitted a -80 test chamber for developing diesel engines that had been running on r13b1.
Rx4 was a trade name and if i remember right,it was just as dangerous as the gas it was replacing and has also probably been phased out.
As you said, there is no data to be found on the internet and the engineer i did the retrofit with died so i cant ask him.If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
