    Mouse instruction not responding

    Hi everybody,
Could you help me please? I have problem with my notebook HP540 core2duo. OS windows XP SP2.
After startup, mouse was not responded by computer. Then I run task manager by CTRL ALT DEL. Result is OK. Mouse normally.
Then I opened program applications this problem accour again.
To solve it, mouse "KLIK" out side of application screen then KLIK back in application, mouse normaly again. This happen again and again.

I suspected virus attack but can' clean by virus cleaner and removal. Then try reformat the hard disk and reinstall the windows but the same problem stiil happen.

I don't think that any hardware damage.

Try another mouse. Try plugging in a different USB port if that's what you have. Sonds like a broken wire or bad connection as you move the mouse.

    Hi Robe,
I have done it but not improve. I certainly that mouse or port are good order. Is it possible any improper working of driver? Because when reinstalled the driver I took from copied driver. Maybe it has to be installed from CD.
    I have not tried yet.

Find driver on internet page of mouse manufacturer and install it after you first uninstall old driver.

Then install Hijackthis software and run scan and save log.
After that upload scan log to this page and see what is marked red.

OK, now you are sure that there is no problem with virus.
Second, if you are changed to second mouse and it works perfectly OK, you certanly have problem with driver. Try to uninstall original driver and use one of pre-instaled drivers in OS

It is not clear if you tried with other mouse on other port or not, and if that produced same problem or not.
    Please, clarify that.

    Re: Mouse instruction not responding

Download Hiren boot CD and check if same is happening again when you boot OS from this CD (first change boot order so that CD is booting first).

If not, you have problem with OS and you need new clean install of OS.

If yes, you need first to try install latest BIOS and try again with boot CD, and if that doesn't help you, you definitely have hardware problem.

    Did it ever worked properly?
