Regarding Static Pressure
DEAR FRIENDS,
ONCE I POSTED A THREAD REGARDING STATIC PRESSURE ONLY A FEW LIKE PETER REPLIED ME BUT STILL IAM STRUGGLING TO CALCULATE THE STATIC PRESSURE IN DUCTS EVERY TIME WHEN IAM CHECKING THE DRAWINGS I CAN SEE DIFFERENT STATIC PRESSURE FOR DIFFERENT DUCTS LIKE 450pa,150pa ETC I DONT KNOW HOW THE CONSULTANT IS CALCULATING THIS ANYBODY PLS BRIEF ME HOW TO CALCULATE THIS ATLEAST IN THIS THREAD

thanks for your reply mike the example you given is only for round ducts what about rectangular what about length of duct,is there any formulas to get accurate result and also it differs based on the room why nobody is replying for this thread is there any shortage for expert in ducts

I taught that you want to see how it is done!
If you want to learn how to do that by your own, then you should buy some books and learn all what is needed to make proper calculation.
Or you could just buy some software to do that instead of you, but you still need to know what is important to be able to give right data to software.

In that case then you must spend some money on teaching yourself through text books and training courses.
The knowledge comes from learning; round ducts or square ducts require similar calculations. The area of the duct is involved more than the shape.
A quick fix for designing things is not possible. You need to learn, practice, learn some more and practice some more; only then will you understand your problems.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

dear brian iam eager to learn but tell me the book, which book i have to refer in this issue iam just asking the method to calculate why nobody understanding that at present iam working in singapore here i searched in library i cant find anything related to HVAC
