    Explosion in the NH3 system



    Hello Everybody !
    My factory use NH3 system 2 stage. It has problem: when stop compressor and gas pump, the explosion happen about 15 - 30 minute , i think it is leak at return valve in the gas pump so it happen different presure in it. But i don't believe i'm right, everyone meets the problem the same me and find the way overcome it, please explain to me.

    I think it's problem can be found in blocking cold liquid.
    In a 2 stage system there is most of the time verry cold liquid -30 degrees.
    When the system stops and non return valves are installed wrong you can have -30 degrees liquid blocked in.When the liquid temperature rises the pressure will rise in an absurd pase.It is just like freezing water there is no way we cab build something that can resist that kind of pressure so things will break wich may sound and can look like explosions.
