Duct Design
HI
I was wondering if some1 has a simplified yet comprehensive e-book for duct design
Our nose is our personal air-conditioning system: it warms cold air, cools hot air and filters impurities

Hello pal.
Click HERE for a starting point.
It takes you to Ventaxia (the fan manufacturers) website. The e-book in the link is a very good guide.

Re: Duct Design
wow thanks
very nice link
what is the static pressure relation with length/bends in a duct? Our nose is our personal air-conditioning system: it warms cold air, cools hot air and filters impurities

Re: Duct Design
All fittings in duct work as in piping have pressure drop equivelents to what is called straight duct or pipe
EX: say a 45* fitting would be say the equivelent of 25 feet of straight duct or pipe

Re: Duct Design
well all the link emphasises on circular duct
i think when u know the standards of velocities to be maintained on supply/exhaust diffusers and branch and main ducts then all that is left is mere calculator to ensure required cross sectional areas with length and height.
Can any1 give me a chart to elaborate what impact different bends(90*,45*0 have on static pressure? Our nose is our personal air-conditioning system: it warms cold air, cools hot air and filters impurities
