    Oil sump temperature



    I am trying to start our chiller York Millennium model YTG0A3B2-CGJ and find that the oil sump tempurature is not increasing to setpoint 125 it stay same around 70 any suggestion for troubleshooting the problem.

    Check that the sump / Crankcase oil heater is working.
    Also it is quite common where fitted to have the MCB supplying the heater fail.
    Or if relevant its Cartridge Fuse blow.
    In short my first suggestion would be that the relevant supply has been interrupted.
    Secondly the heater may be U.S.
    If necessary use a clamp meter to confirm!

    Hi msatali, First of all is the oil temperature controller working it sounds like its faulty, if you haven`t already checked it thats the place to start. By the way is the ambient temp 70 then it might be the oil heater
