    Flake type ice maker



    The plant is flake type ice maker . make and model No. not available.
    Compressor, GRASSO model No. RC86Z.
    Capacity - 8 ton of ice per day.
    Refrigerant - ***** 22.

    Begining part of evaporator coil making hard ice. so scraper is stuck up and rotor drive gear box getting damaged.
    system pressure, suction is 1.5 bar and discharge is 17 bar. evaporator drum temperature is getting.-17C.
    why the ice becomes very hard?
