    New to RE (SABROE,YORK, STAL)

    Hello everyone,

I'm Bart and new to RE.
I'm working as a sales engineer for Johnson Controls.
In 2006 Johnson Controls bought YORK so i'm an original Yorker.

We are the supplier of SABROE, STAL, GRAM, FRICK and YORK.(and i looked at the forum and there are many cases of these products)

If there are any questions about these products I wil try to answer them.
Not all in 1 time because then i'm not getting to work hahahaha.

I will do my best to look around the cases in RE and answer some questions.

    Greetings, and keep it cool.

    Welcome Bart

Theres been a few people asking about York stuff recently,so you might be a busy boy for a bit.

    Have fun.
If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.

    Welcome Bart

Nice to see another new face join the happy crowd, I'm sure your knowledge on Sabroe et al will be most useful.

As for your job as a sales engineer, please keep the sales pitch down to a minimum on here as Webram (the BOSS) likes advertisers to line his pocket with brass before jumping in with sales patter

    Enjoy the site

    Welcome Bart

Can you tell me if you can actually purchase "new" Gram reciprocating compressor, say HCT 8125?
And what is the state of play with technical information and spares for Gram industrial machines?

More of a general interest question than anything else.

    Many thanks,

    Sturt.

    Hello Sturt,

GRAM is not produced anymore and so you also cannot buy new GRAM compressors.
For parts it's getting less and less but normal service parts are still available.(overhaul sets, filters, gaskets etc.)
Cylinders and liners for example are hard to get but are still made however in small amounts.

If you have any questions just ask.

    Hi Frank,

I will not use salespitches but sometimes when somebody ask if things are still available i have to answer there question.

For you info (and the Boss) i'm from the servicedepartment so it's more service (as i can do on RE hahaha) instead of new sales.

Just like to help people with problems and questions.

    Greetings

    Hi Sturt.
I have quite an extensive Gram Archive so I may be able to help.
You quote your job as Technical Support for whom may I ask?

Thanks Bart I thought that was the case.

    Hi Grizzly

    Good question, Gram Commercial.

I have been in the refrigeration industry for 15 years of which 3 are in my current capacity. Previously I have worked mainly with industrial low temperature applications and on site positions within the pharmaceutical industry with freeze drying equipment and associated vacuum systems and controls.
I am still involved with some of my previous connections and have a practical role when situations allow and a general interest.

The Gram Commercial factory is still located in Vojens, Denmark where the domestic, commercial and industrial production was once located. One of the guys in Denmark who is the unofficial company historian is desperate for any documentation and it would be fantastic if you could help out? please let me know.

Sorry for so much waffle in answer to a simple question!

    Many thanks,

    Sturt.
