    Parallel comps and condensing circuits.

York SOC 240k; 2 circuits of 30 kW each.
One single 60 kW evaporator (AHU).
Can it be done without an oil separator?

Re: Parallel comps and condensing circuits.

The unit SOC 240K is designed to work together with a duct type blower with two frigo circuits as well. The big problem is that we have to use this unit (with 2 circuits: compressor and condenser) with one single evaporator.
The capacity of the evaporator is 60 kW, and the condensing unit has 2x30 KW. The compressors will run in parallel, so, i have to do something with the oil. I think i will use the oil sight glasses from the compressors to do the oil pressure equalisation. The condensing unit is situated above the evaporator. After the filters, the circuits will descend for about 3 meters to the evaporator, and will be jointed together, then entering the TXV. The suction line will be independent for each circuit and will have a solenoid coil for each one, that will be closed when the coresponding compressor will be off.
