    heat exchanger

    Hello,
Both condenser and evaporator are heat exchanger. What type of heat exchanger are used in condenser, and what type for evaporator? (how to select heat exchanger for them?)
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: heat exchanger

First you calculate the total load in the box, determin the temp and RH you want, this will determin your evap duty and size.

From there you work back wards the condenser will be the last thing sized.

selection of HE depends on use... and price

then we have a media for cooling (for condensers) both air and water or only air/water (or maybe another liquid)....

the same is with evaporators ... cooling only air or some liquid....

.... they can be also PHE-Plate Heat Exchangers, S&T-Shell&Tube, TinT-Tube in Tube, Finned or with Plates on tubes...maybe some other type which I do not know

    hope this help a little..

    Best regards, Josip

Lets cut more to the chase and ask: What exactly are you trying to do? as the application determines what is used.
