Rotary vs Domestic compressor
Hi everyone
I have a question, can a rotary compressor be used in a domestic appliances like ice machines and walk in cold rooms?
And how much H/P is 9000btu compressor?

Generally speaking, they are constructed for high evaporation temperatures (air conditioning) and main obstacle for use in low temperature application, is because they use refrigerant too cool himself. In low temperature applications there is no enough refrigerant mas flow to efficiently remove generated heat and crankcase is not large enough to take that task.
9000Btu/h is 3.5HP
