Daikin remote thermostat
Hello guys, do any of you know whether or not you can get a remote stat kit for a daikin FTY35 wall mount?, which is about 8 year old (R22). I know you could get them for the skyair range but not sure about the little ones. If you can't, can you extend the existing probe?

Re: Daikin remote thermostat
I believe that you still can buy them.
But yes, the built in one can be extended (as long as you use proper cable and connections, no "twisting" together)
Has the unit got a wired controller?
If it does you can tell the unit to use the remote's sensor instead of the built in one....

No, it's a hand held zapper remote.

Re: Daikin remote thermostat
Hi Andy
I've successfully extended the cables on sensors using good quality thin 2 core copper cable & connector block. You have to cut the sensor cable & strip back the cables. Then insert the extra cable by twisting the ends together & putting in some terminal block or crimps but you must twist the wires together first. If you solder or use any other method where by the wires are not in contact with each other you'll alter the resistance of the sensor in which case it wont work properly.
