    407c Charge

    Hi guys.
Need to recharge a system, but do not have a vapour charger 'from bottle to guage', bottle has both vapour and liqiud ports, is it o.k to charge from vapour port through suction service valve??

Don't shoot me down if this is a stupid question.
    Cheers.

No, it is not ok. Charge from liquid phase to avoid distillation of blend. Use the liquid port in suction valve, making sure that very little liquid is reaching the compressor.

Hey N.Lewis...best to charge in the liquid state.Pretty much the same reason as when charging a refrigeration system with R404A.So R407C and R404A are zeotropic refrigerants, which means they are blends.Hope this helps....

    Charge in liquid state only.

Throttle back on your manifold valve like a manual expansion valve if charging into a running compressor or until the vacuum has been broken.
