Re: Unknown icon appearing on display..
I would hazard a guess, as I do not know the unit you refer to, that the top L/H icon is the 'power on'
the snowflake tells me that it is in cooling mode and the symbol on the right of a compressor indicates that the outdoor unit is operational.
Oh, and the set point is 24C

Re: Unknown icon appearing on display..
Yes, that's the icon for a rotary compressor with muffler. I suppose it just shows "the compressor is on".

Re: Unknown icon appearing on display..
Or it suddenly recently appeared (cooled, heated fine without that icon previously), could be an icon of an upright vacuum, ie, clean filter. Just guessing here, but I assume you're asking because the icon appeared for the first time?
If not, and it's always been there on and off, then disregard my guess because it probably means compressor as said before.Last edited by paul_h; 30-01-2011 at 04:10 PM.

Re: Unknown icon appearing on display..
The icon means, compressor is on. It also means that the led is OK.
Many manufacturers have an icon of a compressor on their controllers so I guess AC split manufacturers adopted that idea.
