How do you install a central air system?
I've been in the trade for nine years and never had to do this. I work almost solely in the industrial end of refrigeration.
I now have friends calling and asking me to come and put theirs in.
I need to know where to put the evaporator and also how much to charge just to install it.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

The evaporator (aka 'A' coil) is mounted just above the heat exchanger of the furnace (usually about 6" above the furnace inside the plenum).
Here in Cincinnati, Ohio, many companies charge about $1,000 (US) per ton of A/C. But that depends on how hard each job would be. Rooftop units can be a LOT more, especially if you have to use a crane.I visit http://www.fuel-saver.org
