What it lacks is its guts....scuze the expression,
What i need to know is where to buy what to buy...
Requirements=

Coldroom dimensions=
w=1.2 or 6ft
L=1.8 or 6ft
H=1.9
hopfully not to vague and would appreciate any advice.

Have you ever been to NRS (control centre), Dean & Wood, HRP or NRW and the like.
Phone them up with the measurements and they will give you the size of the evap and condensing unit.
Then just compair the prices. If your doing it for a friend then be sure you go for the right sized unit don't scrimp on th horse power
cheers taz.

Cheap solutions for friend : take an external unit AC , 9000 Btu/h , disconect 4way valve and capillary tube , use CoolPack for evaporator size , put "heat pump capillary " inside , one Dixell or similar controller and you have the system.
I make-it and it work.

Re: Need frigees help on Cold room..
Hi Raison,
As you are going to store food in coldroom, I must ask what is the state of the 'old' room and what was it previously used for. You really need foodsafe surfaces for food that is for consumption without further cooking. Some old rooms only had galvanised surfaces designed for fruit and veg or meat. If previous use was meat then need I say more as to state of floor etc and what bugs might be lurking.
Possibly check with local council health inspector to get their opinion....dont want to waste money if not suitable.
SRW do coldroom packs of evap, condensing unit, pipe and controls etc. They will also size up equipment. Give thought for high ambient temperatures if in kitchen and summertime. Aim for 43 deg ambient rating.
Also consider new packaged coldroom - easy to assemble and complete with refigeration unit...just plug in.
Good luck.
