    quantity of refrigerant in a domestic refrigerator?



    How can i determine the quantity of refrigerant i need for a specific refrigerator. I have been change the R134a for a mix of HC. I have been use the 45 and 50% of the HC refrigerant but it is havenīt been working like i expect.

    How much R134a did you remove ?

    What is the maximum allowed by the compressor manufacturer?

    I assume you are doing this as some sort of experiment?

    The best option would be to braze in a service port on the HP/liquid line and measure the sub cooling.

    Coming to think of it, a sight glass on the liquid line would do the job.
