    R22 and TRAINING?

Can some of our trainers advise...
Given that R22 is being phased out and its future is perseved as limited.
Is it's hazards, in particular the production of phosgene, when exposed to a naked flame or heat source. Still talked about or taught to the newer members of our profession.
It's just all the talk about it on the forum recently made me wonder if it's still part of the training /nvq's?

Those taking nvq qualifications undergo basic health & safety training which should include decomposition products for refrigerants inc' R22.
Questions on decomposition products are usualy asked in refrigerant handling assessments as they should because R22 will be around in systems for some years to come.
