    Re: Evapco Model Number

    According to information I have the TFC indicates this coil is a custom unit. My guess on the numbers is this:

    33 = square feet of total face area
    83 = 8 rows deep, 3 fins per inch
    500 = not sure but maybe horsepower of each fan
    L = I believe indicates the relative fan section length (lineal space between fans)

    That's the best guess I have without calling the factory.
    If all else fails, ask for help.

    USIceman, do you know the btu/h per F of TD, and the CFM. I try with factory, but I did not get an answer.
    Best Regards

    Re: Evapco Model Number

    Sorry, I don't have any other information on this.

    If the factory will not respond to you rinquiry, then perhpas you could estimate the performance frmo a similar coil with the same dimensions.

    For an 8 row deep coil with 3 fins per inch and 33 square feet of face area the BTUH per degree should be similar between coil manufacturers as the heat transfer will not change very much.

    Then you could estimate the CFM by multiplying the face area (33 sq. ft.) X 55 feet per minute (for a cooler) or X 800-1000 feet per minute if a freezer.

    That is about as close as I could get it without spending a lot more time.
    If all else fails, ask for help.
