    we have three of these

in our biggest customers comm's room and having never worked on stulz products before i must say that they have been great, bar the odd room RH/return air sensor going, touch wood we have never had a problem with them and the UK technical backup has been very impressive

    Re: Stulz CSD542A PEC Aircon

I got called to a problem with 2 Stulz units, C6000's. One was bringing fault code up for Compressor Low Pressure. Fixed this as it had a refrigerant leak.

The 2nd was coming up with Compressor High Pressure. Checked all the obvious things like outdoor condensor fans, filters etc but after spending half a day onsite, I could not find why it would suddenly trip out on this fault. Pressures maintained a constant 55psi/220psi.

    Any ideas?

Look on wiring diagram to see what terminal the hp switch wires back to before going out to control circuit.Check all the connections for good contact and if ok then: From A1 on the terminal block which is your 24V supply wire in a bit of cable to link out pressure switch. With Gauges connected run the unit up and monitor the running pressures. If the prssures are good I would say you have a faulty hp switch, i have had a few go on me. Be warned that there is no shrader behind the hp switch when you come to changing one.

Check your filter drier and change it.

    Re: Stulz CSD542A PEC Aircon

Had similar alarm coming up on downdraught unit on startup so thought HP switch faulty, also had no wiring diagram. With help from Stulz UK decided problem was thermistor module on compressor, ordered replacement and unit worked ok. Comp was cold and control voltages were ok but dropped out on start up. If your compresser runs then stops could be compressor internal temperature getting to high
