    Vintage Compressor Parts

Does anyone know where parts for vintage compressors can be bought? I heard of a place in Texas a few years back but have miss placed the information. By vintage, I mean Frick HD verticals, York verticals and Creamery Package verticals.

Frick (Now owned by York) still carries some parts for the HD machines but I don't think York and CP parts are available.

    Hi J.D
nice to here from you What's the weather like in Nova Scotia this time of year?
I'm afraid I am no help with vintage Fricks or Yorks. These are more a North American thing, any Fricks I have seen are badged as Gram and were made under licence by Gram in Europe. The Yorks I've seen were made in France and less than 10 year old, although I do know that some old Yorks on water chillers are still kicking about in Ireland.

    Hi Andy

Spring is a little late this year. The temps. are hovering around 5-10 degC during the day and dropping to -5 degC through the night. Most of the snow has melted at this time.

It's hard to believe how many older machines are in this area. Many of the curling rinks in this province have been around for quite a few years and so has the equipment they use. I have a number of customers with compressors from the mid 1940's. Mind you these things are chugging along at 400 rpm and don't get a lot of run time in a season.

There are still some kicking around in a few packing plants I work in as well. I'll see if I can scrape up a few pictures.

You might want to contact compressor rebuilding companies. They would know where to get parts. Ask your local supply house where they get their rebuilt compressors from.

Vintage parts for these old Frick and York comps can be bought from the Frick India company in New Delhi India. They parts are priced quite cheap so check them out.

    Re: Vintage Compressor Parts

Here are several other places to check for replacement parts:

    http://www.ceconet.com/refrigeration/refrigeration.htm

    http://www.crrefrig.com/

They are both US firms, but may be able to assist.
