    Re: Details for Clean rooms

    Hello Jeyakumar,

Juice manufacturing area requires a facility which should be clean and hygenic. For the Juice Can area the party has classified as Class 1000.

I am not much aware of such facilities being required for Juice manufacturing. Providing a Clean Room facility is basically the filters and fans to be used, the construction of the room etc. The refrigeration system will remain as normal. There is no particular software available for designing a Clean Room.

First please contact the concerned party a find out that in case they require Clean Room for both the areas, they should specify the Class required. Class 1000 is going to involve a lot of cost on filters.

I feel that for such application Class 10000 should be good enough.

Any further assistance required you are free to contact me.

You may visit the undermentioned site and enquire from them as to the requirement of the facility.

    Re: Details for Clean rooms

happy new year to you also,

as samarjit sen points out class 1000 seems overboard for a drinks filling plant. Things to address are 1)leakage - break throughs for bottles/ cans drains(these probabley wont be trapped) as well as the normal leakage points.
2)Air distribution - These applications are generally subjected to microbiological testing and as the filling plant is largely pipes and conveyor belts good air distribution may have to be proven via smoke testing.
3)Pressure gradients - if you have a single room at say 30 pa positive the plant will have to be shut down for a recovery period every time the room is opened to ambient. If you use a lobby then you cascade the pressure to achieve a barrier and used in conjunction with a good entry protocol system can negate the access problem. However this generaly means a greater pressure in the cleanroom which increases the leakage and can affect (due to leakage velocity) the bottle/ can delivery system in and out of the clean room.

Hope this gives you a headstart and will try and give more info if I get time
