British humour
This is Harry Enfield, who produces a kind of humour that we British just love. Take a look.

More timeless good humour from the Two Ronnies - just a sample of some of the great comedy material out of UK in the past. I dont know how it is there anymore - last time I lived in UK, Rab C Nesbitt was hilarious - that was 1992 or so.
Salute to all our UK friends on here ....

PS excuse my asking but pls remind me .. what is difference between " UK " and saying " Great Britain" ?Remember what Augustus once said:
"festina lente" - make haste, slowly!

Re: British humour
We think were GB Great Britain but others just think were the UK United Kingdom.
Were not allowed to think indipendently. We have to tow the party line. Were not allowed to be English just British. The Scots can be Scotish the Welsh can be Welsh, but The English have to be British.
The way of the modern politicaly correct world.

GB is England, Wales and Scottland. ( to be said in any order dependant on where you come from)
Wheras U.K. is all of the above plus Northern Ireland,
Isle of Man, and the Channel Irelands. If I have missed anyone else out please let me know?

Re: British humour
So - when was the last time Great Britain was 'GREAT' ?
What a joke!
On my last visit to the USA I filled in the Visa Waiver form where it said ' Nationality' - I put English. Oh, No, said the nice () immigration officer as he struck it out - and wrote 'Great Britain'
If you didn't laugh you'd cry

Re: British humour
It's broken
"video removed due to terms of use violation"
Oh well, I wanted to see it as enfield was funny on the episode of top gear I saw, but I guess I'll live
^^ How many other countries get to put "great" in front of it? Keep it until people from other countries laugh at it. There's no G.U.S.A, or G.S.A. or G.N.Z.Last edited by paul_h; 20-01-2008 at 05:50 PM.
