Tex Sizing
HOW CAN WE SIZE UP A THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVE,COZ THE COMPANY'S CHILLER EXPANSION VALVE HAS NO SPECS ON ITS VALVE ITSELF DUE TO FADING.
I AM A NEW MAINTENANCE AT THESE COMPANY AND I NEED SOME HINTS ABOUT MY QUERY.
THERE'S NO PROBLEM ON THE OPERATION BUT FOR SPARE PURPOSES I WANT TO REQUEST FOR THESE EXPANSION VALVE.

Try asking the chiller manufacturer for the details of the TXV.

Hello cristopher_uy, what make, model is the chiller. Also how many kilo's and which refrigerant is in it.

As Brian UK said, contact the Chiller manufacturer for the TEV model, otherwise you will only be guessing and not get the correct one.

Hi Christoper Uy,
Sizing the exp. valve you have to know the following.
a) max evaporator load
b) evaporating temp.
c) condensing temp.
d) Liquid subcooling
Then for easy selection find the catalog/book of any refrigeration components manufacturer like danfoss or alco then look on their selection table.
