How to reset Samsung AQV12MSAN

Please help!!!My Samsung AQV12MSAN locked up and i can't find out how to reset it. The links in other post
which explain how to do it have expired.
From what i red so far is pretty common for a samsung A/C to lock up due to a power failure!

ok i got how to reset it using the remote control
but now i need the right code. I noticed it has four set of six numbers this one instead of the two set of six numbers that other simular units of samsung.Meanig the code must be something like 00 00 00 - 10 00 00 - 20 00 00 - 30 00 00 because pressing mode button it cyrcles througth this sets! Any way if somebody knows the code please tell me!

hey guys...merry xmas and happy new yr to u all. We just moved into a new house (Yay!) However I have a very pregnant wife who is complaining that our samsung a/c remote doesnt work (SH09ZA8) Dont have a manual on it and cant find an english version anywhere. i noticed upon searching there is a reset code but i have no idea how to input that code as our remote doesnt have numbers on it. The remote actually works but it doesnt seem to affect the unit no matter wat buttons are pushed.....PLS help me keep my wife happy. Cheers

It's no so hard that you need a whole HOW-TO guide. Remove one battery, hold down the temp setting up AND down buttons while refitting the battery.
You should get a screen like superswill says, ie:

Enter the first six digits that superswill gave, then press mode. You enter the codes by pressing certain buttons for each digit/line. It's not that hard to work out which button effects what digit. Try it, and work it out, you can't go wrong if you just make sure the right digit sequence shows up when you press the mode button.
you will be greeted with another screen saying

00
00
Enter the next six digits that superswill gave.
press mode and the on/off
if no response you have a dead unit/receiver PCB/remote transmitter

I'm not familiar with that model, I don't think it was released here in Australia.

The AQ12's released here all lights flash when option re programing is required.

Forte and Neo Forte Models, Operation and Turbo lamp blinking and no power to outdoor unit
Will require more than the codes, You need to call the local Samsung Agent.

if you reset the option code in this situation, nothing will happen.. the problem will be still the same!

the problem with your unit is the indoor fan motor speed detecting sensor..
just check in the main board if the connector44 (CN44 labeled in main pcb) is properly connected. if it is properly connected replace the INDOOR FAN MOTOR SPEED DETECTING SENSOR..
