    carlyle compressor



    hi everyone
    ive been asked to fit a carlyle comprssor on a old unit,the problem being that the new compressor is over 10 years old, it is new but been in the customers plant room for that length of time.will this be ok to fit..

    Don't see why not, so long as it is the correct model and is sealed up propperly. Its got to be in better condition than one that has been running for ten years.

    Open the oil pressure , and pump oil by it, just a few qty

    I would suggest taking the end plate off so that the free rotation can be checked.

    While it is open spray some oil about and see if you can persuade the oil pump to do some work as well.
