    Intermitent Daikin Fault Code?

    Hi Guys,

I have a R410A VRV system running 10 convertible units.

It's thrown up a E0 code on the controller which is an 'Outdoor activation of outdoor safety device'.

Someone else has been here before and couldn't find anything amiss and after a power down and re-enrgisation all has ben well for a few weeks.

Any pointers before I show my face next week as I'm not au-fait with Dakin kit really?

Looks like the Fan motor maybe the most likely culprit it seems?

hi, i had this problem on an r22 system..put all units in to full cooling and check operation of all components ,fans ,compressor, and gas charge...its hard to determine charge on vrv but what i noticed was my liquid line was sweating which is not meant to be you should get a warm liquid....found the system short of charge and was tripping on eo every few hours...

if the motor was faulty ie didnt run i would expect a HP fault (E7 i think) but the E0 fault just refers to outdoor "safty" not a specific component so id check the above first

Went to site on Friday and there was no trace of a fault on the display and all seemed well!

    Re: Intermitent Daikin Fault Code?

Came across this recently and after numerous resets, change of main pcb and further call outs i ordered the two sensors connected to measure the suction temp ( I think it was xn15 & xn16 from memory ) I did this because when I was checking the resistances I noticed that they fluctuated when I had the leads connected. I did this 3 weeks ago and have had no problems since. This was also on a 410a system. Incidentally on some 407c Daikin systems ther has been a problem with French condensor fans fitted and this threw up the same problem.

    Cheers Vin for that.

Touch wood the systems ran OK for a couple of weeks without error so I'm keeping my head down and my fingers crossed!

Hey Buddy i would start with checking the compressor motor overloads and fan motor overloads, if the system is not running just check the inputs to the outdoor control pcb.
Do you know the model number?
i will have a solution for you..
