Mc Quay AGR 145.2 chiller
Hello
Has anyone had any experience with The McQuay AGR 145.2 chiller.
On one of the sites I look after I have two of these chillers which are 7 years old. On all four circuits they have developed leaks on the condenser headers. I know the vibration from the compressors is quite high, but the units have not worked that hard and it just seems quite extreme for all four condensers to develop leaks in roughly the same place. Were these units made with a poor quality coil or is it just bad design.
What do you think would be the best cause of action, should I try to repair the leaks ( if I do I feel I would just be fighting fires) should I recommend new condenser coils or recommend new chillers?
If anyone has had a similar situation your experience would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Terrible machine. Unfortunately McQuay machines do leak due to the really poor build quality.
Do the compressors have a high number of starts?
