    Rising lines



    Hi Everybody;

    I'm looking for documents,experience about rising lines on suction lines and discharge lines.Because in the projects this subject is very difficult for me.Can anybody explain calculation methods about this subject or tell me where i can find it?.

    What do you want to do
    how many BTU at what evap temp ?
    totel hight ?
    what gas are you useing ?
    totel lenght of piping?

    Hi Zapoy,

    I would suggest you have a look on the Solkane Refrigerants Website and do a quick search for the Pipesizing data sheet, should you not find it let me know and I will email you a copy.

    If you've got access to one have a look in the Carrier Design Manual. Has a section on sizing suction lines, double suction risers etc.
    If in doubt read the instructions. If still in doubt follow them.
