Re: Sanyo VRF Error Code E04
Re: Sanyo VRF Error Code E04
Error in receiving serial communication signal.
When turning on the power supply, the number of connected
indoor units does not correspond to the number set. (Except R.C.
address is “0.”)
Re: Sanyo VRF Error Code E04
E04 code does not necccesarily mean your issue is at the indoor units. It simply means loss of communication. If you have checked the comm line, verified the outdoor unit has the amount of indoors units set properly then reset the system and ohm out the U1 U2 line at the indoor units. You should read about 100 ohms. You can also reset the amount of indoor units at the outdoor unit, break the comm line so it is just at the first unit and re address for one indoor unit.. Test the ohm value again. Possible outdoor unit main PCB board is bad.
Re: Sanyo VRF Error Code E04
Gentleman,
All your replies were greatly appreciated. I wanted to follow up and let you know what was found. It seems a mouse had made a nest in the outdoor unit by the Filter board and shorted several of the wires which feed over to the main board causing this E04 error code. Thanks again to all who replied to this post!
