" frigories "
Now there's a good new word for you when you're having a bad day on site ! a derivation of " friggn calories " no doubt ! ; ))
Thanx Farhan for introducing a new word to English vocab, like " Googling " or Capatain Boycott yrs ago!!
regards
TP
Not quite.
Frigorie is a genuine word, even though the unit of cooling measurement it refers to (Calories in the MKS Metric system) is now obsolete - at least in Europe.
Farhan Shaikh, to answer your question, the normal unit of heat transfer measurement is either the Imperial System Btu / Hr or Ton of Refrigeration (Ton R) or the SI unit that is in use in most of the world is the kW.
Follow US Iceman’s link for more information.
K Calories are not much used now.
