The above is Danfoss' blurb for their DML range and allegedly even an 085 can in theory handle 20kw when on R404...
But yes, it would be small. Personally I prefer larger...

depends on how much crap your going to leave in the system !!- go for the biggest one in the van so you can charge more!

Its got an 084 on it at the moment but the last system i did with the same capacity came with 305's and 5/8" liquid lines.
Tempted to put a shell and core drier on it, give me something to do when its due a service :D

084 is a toy for that size system Jon. 304 would be the smallest i'd use if staying with 1/2". How many TX's are going to be fitted?

It'll have four txv's feeding four 5/8" copper coils in the ice bank.

Bump the liquid line to 5/8 Jon. 20m pipe run? 10m there and 10m back, or 20m from condensing unit to evap?

Its about 15/20m one way, with a 2m lift and 3m drop, thinking of using 1 3/8" and 5/8", got to have a word with tech peeps at the wholesalers, i'm more monkey see monkey do, than monkey knows what he's doing... :)

You have 2 things to consider.
1; pressured drop through the drier. (This related to your Kw or normal flow)
2; cleaning/drying properties (this related to how much refrigerant in the system)

Hope your reciever is big enough to handle a pumpdown. Can't see how a 1/2" pipe can supply 4 valves anyway, even if the pipe run was far less. reciever is probably 1/2" inlet/outlet and will be a chokepoint. No harm in double checking equipment specs. You will be up the proverbial creek if it don't perform:eek:
