Looking for air temp sensors for Toshiba GR334 fridge (have part number)

Hi,

My mid 80s Toshiba GR334 fridge is cooling too much and freezing the contents of the fridge. In 1998 I replaced the air temperature sensor which fixed the problem, but it has reoccurred.

Part required:

Description: [WA19/SAF2.1] SENSOR GR334

It cost AU$49.23 inc delivery so it's well worth getting the part and fixing the fridge instead of buying a complete new model.

The supplier from 1998 no longer carries the part. Toshiba Australia were of no help. Can anyone suggest a substitute part? Surely air sensors are generic parts across many different fridge models... (just a matter of getting the right one).

Plugging the model or part numbers yields zero results from Google/Yahoo.
