Hi Cooltools
I did not realise benders for that size are readily available?
It's a safe bet they would be Hydraulic.
It will be interesting to see what the guys recommend.
Grizzly
Have used one of these for 1 3/8 in the past ,not easy to bend by the way, ended up doing my back.

As Grizzly said for that size hydraulic would be the way to go.

A few important points about the bender you choose, The pipe is hard copper and can "break" easily.
The bending part must hold the pipe at 270°. The pipe must be pulled while bending.
You can anneal the hard copper if you really want to bend it but it takes time and gas.
^and I'm guessing that hot work permits are an issue given that they are asking for pipe benders to be used
REMS do some good benders, not sure on how big they go!
I have an old Record stand bender for 1 3/8 but its hard work!
We always just used the A frame benders with the right size slide and form. Can be hard work alrite you really need to heat the pipe first. Have an expanders that does up to 4" now that's a real pig to control. Have seen a good hydraulic benders by REMS but it was big money at the time.
