It will be a matter of maybe a few years but prices are already soaring.
Any suggestion of replacement for low temp or should I invest in a big stock?

I've been using R407F but not tried it in a freezer. Have also ordered a load of R404A for stock as the price just went up 30% here. Crazy times.
I have been seeing a bit of R290 Propane getting around, its a really good refrigerant.
I haven't done it myself yet but another company in town has been using R290 with R404A comp and TXV.
Retrofitting 404a to r290? Propane what issues does that present glad I am on the guidelines now it's sounds like danger to me!
Think R448A is being pushed for low temp systems, not tried it.
R448A should be OK for replacements but only in DX systems, glide is around 6/7°K. Nothing yet for flooded or pumped systems, and probably nothing definitively.
Not for transport refrigeration that's for certain, get the drawing board out I would not put it into a reefer unless if was based close to a fire station!
