I've not seen a Frick with "Port Style" loading, always the typical slide valve arrangement..
Cloud it be regular slide valve just with trick solenoids?
Happy new year.
My fault it's TDSL 283 Frick
HVACRsaurus,
Sent you a PM for interest on this model.
Find what you needed? Its definitely a TDSL. Im pretty sure they are linear and go something like 50%-75%-100% from NDE to DE. been a long tie since I last looked at one of these.
Attachment 12663Hi Ranger,
I took the opportunity of the overhaul of a TDSL283 in our workshop to take some pictures of the pots. So you'll understand how it works. if something isn't clear, the compressor is still open!
Thanks cricri,
So how many load pots are there underneath machine?
The one I was working on had 3.
Pictures look like 3 pots on each side (male/ female rotor).

Pictures look like 3 pots on each side (male/ female rotor). also very slow to load & unload, probably due to small oil gallery or orifice so they don't smash themselves to pieces!
there are 3x2 potsunderneath. operating conditions -46°C/-14°C;NH3
Gardner Denver had a similar way of capacity control with there turn valve. Interesting conversation guys. Thanks for the info.
