I used to do service work on Smeg Fridges. If you take away all the trimmings its just a standard fridge. I don't know how they get away with charging the prices they do
being italian,its probably over engineered ie.bells and whistles for no absolute reason.
i havent worked on one only on commercial stuff that come out of the country.maybe this is what happens switching netrals instead of active.
