What does the data plate on the unit say?
there is no refrence to the power consumption , but its a five ton single , 208 volts unit, compressor running and evap fan on high
Sounds about right - the unit is probably not running at design full load. The numbers are about where we would expect them to be with the unit running say 70 to 80% Loaded - meaning the return air and outdoor air enthalpy's are low enough to, in a combined fashion, amount to less that full design load conditions.
