Does anyone here know of replacements for R11 and R111? I'm trying to find some information for a friend. I don't know a lot about this stuff, but he says that R11 and R111 are being outlawed or something, and he needs enthalpy charts for the replacements. Is R30 outlawed as well? Thank you so much for any information.

R-11, being a CFC, was phased out beginning 1996. R-123 has been the R-11 replacement frontrunner. Its problem, however, is it's an HCFC, and it cannot be used for new equipment after 2020.
R-245ca and R-245fa have been proposed as HFC replacements to R-11/R-123. See http://www.trane.com/commercial/issu...ade-offs08.asp
R-111 and R-30 (methylene chloride) are obscure refrigerants. R-30 is a CFC, so you'll likely won't see it manufactured anymore. R-111 is a HCFC, and it will likely be even more obscure after 2020.
