Reefer Tecnnichian Training
Hello, Everybody.
I worked for 2 years as a sales representative at Maersk company in Brazil and in this time i learn a little about reefer containers.
Today i´m working at a terminal at Brazil as sales assistant for reefer cargo, but my real interest are in the reefer repair. For the next months i talked with my manager and he agreed to pay me a reefer repair training. So i was looking for courses, but i´m really confuse.
Whats the best way i get a real good real course, what do i need to know before entering in a training Reefer Technician course?
I was looking at IICL website and there is a course for reefer repair, it´s interest to me to make this course.
At Brazil we´r current working with equipments from Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin and Mitsubishi. What´s do i need to do to become a technician and know how to reapir this machinery.
I know that the best training for reefer repair is field experience, but i wanna be prepared to do a good start at this new job. Tks to all.
Re: Reefer Tecnnichian Training
hi brazil
the best in my opinion for starters is the 2 week carrier course. its a great starting point and will be the base for your future. Ben Hernandez is the south american rep and he is a great dude.
hope this helps

Ditto what Bruiser said, it's a basic course aimed at the beginner reefer tech.
Learn your basic refrigeration backwards and forwards
Once you get the 'basic' down, you can start to dig into the different quirks each brand has built into it.
Fully understand page 1 before you move onto page 2.
