when the slab has dropped onto the cutter grid the refrigeration cycle should start. there will be an ice thickness switch which initiated the hot gas defrost when the desired thickness is reached. check that this is not faulty

A handy tip is to turn the ice thickness stat until it clicks, think it maybe anti-clockwise but not sure, this initiates the defrost cycle & opens the water valve to fill the tank. If you do this on start up until water flows out of the drain at the back before ice making, it'll make sure the water tank is full.
It should go through this automatically on every defrost cycle in order to stop a build-up of minerals in the water tank & rank tasting ice..

I found them a bit of an odd-ball electrically, but once you've got your head round them, they're simple enough. Elec diagram should be on inside of the lid..
