A sweating pipe proves that there is moisture in the atmosphere.

probably loud compressor could mean liquid carry-over to begin with . however, as BRIAN has mentioned , more details could only lead to better clues
if its sweating back and pressures are good then you are good if it starts to freeze back to the comp then its over charged
first things first, have you checked superheat and subcooling? if so what are they?
