Get a life mate - anyone knows that 4 wheels are better than 2 - or has yours still got stabilizers??:D
I've got a cannondale R500, but I think it's a little bit under 1 HP :) . Wouldn't even cool my fridge with that, let alone a crate of carslberg on a desert island.
There is only one motorcycle---Harley's best f____ the rest!
did i miss something i thought a yamaha was an organ
Aj
Yamaha first started in business manufacturing pianos! Hence the tuning forks for there logo. They have progressed over many years to making all sorts of things, engines, electronic components (CD Writers and sound systems a speciallity) jet skis, bikes...you name it - they probably make it!!!
Anyway, whats up with you lot? Over 800 registered people and only 4 replies so far! Surely, there must be lots more bikers out there amongst you?
Frosty
4 replies! - just shows how sad you are mate!!!
right, with the tools in the saddlebags... the corporate logo on my helmet and a harley between my legs... That'll be the day!
Frank
Its obvious, I'm much sadder than I thought I was!!!
Oh well, Better trade it in for a push bike then.......no fuc*in chance!
Just off for a blast to blow off the cobwebs.

Are you still out there mate?? or has your bike taken you off into refrigeration paradise?
Sad Git!
Well, I hate to say it Frank, but......
I am now officially a 'sad git', I've just bought a BMW with two wheels. no they are NOT both on one side with a jack under the other :)
It works out cheaper to run a motorbike than a car for transport to and fro work so hey-ho Frosty I claim the fifth reply and want my prize :p
I ride a Harley Davidson nothing but the best.
Honda 250 trial bike for a bit of "green laneing". Nothing like feeling the wind in your face and mud and leaves in you mouth ;) to get rid of the stress....
Out and about in the big white van today fixing customers A/C left right and centre. Just loved it when the traffic started to get backed up and noticed a "BIKER" coming up between the lanes.
Nudged the van over and reduced the gap - hey - guess what ? the biker gave me 2 fingers!!!
Sad gits!!
(Only joking guys!!)
(Those London bikers surely do deserve it with their attitudes)
Hello all, yep, im another fridge guy into bikes...got an R6 and a Gsxr750.... but recentley highsided the R6...bahh, never mind, plenty of time to fix her up over winter as work tails off a bit..
oh, and me gsxr does have summit in common with a fridge unit...
it has an Eliwell ewpc901t fitted in place of the old temp guage that broke...good thing about the eliwell is that it controls my rad fan too....hay ho...tis all a laugh...
btw, im in the UK...south of our sunny land and im a transport refrigeration fella...so hello all on my first post...
Welcome Alpha to the site, hope you enjoy it and can add as well as gain some knowledge.
If not, well keep writing, we all like to keep in touch. :D
Hello there Brian..
To be totally honest, some of the stuff i have read on here so far has gone way above my head, think i will stick to my transport units, i understand them...all makes very good reading tho, but if i can add summit of use, then i most certainley will...
Cheers...
Iam a ZX9R rider & luv it :) ...have been riding for about 15yrs on & off....have owned cbr600's & a blade in the past, this is the 1st Kawasaki i bought, had it for 19months now.

PS stick with the reefer stuff it's a lot less grief :D

Hi Guys,
For all you two wheeled petrol heads out there there may be an ideal job. At one of the shows in Birmingham a couple of years ago (Can't remeber if it was CV or Fridge show) Carrier (Transport side) were showing a motorcycle that they were using for engineers to use as a quick response vehicle.
Carried a few tools in the side pods, Gauges, set of screwdrivers, set of adjustables, valve keys ect but havn't heard anymore or how they got on or if they were ever used.
If anyone has heard let me know
Regards
Raymond
Yep, been riding for 25 years, I think it's one of those things that stays in the blood. Currently got a '99 Yam TRX850 for hooning around on & an '84 Kwak Z1300 (fuel-injected six cylinder) streetfighter which is my baby.
I've got a breathed-upon '99 SV650 and go for the odd day motocrossing during the summer months. Surprised there aren't more bikers on here...
Sold my CBR6 and my 250 KDX to help finance my move to Spain.... will soon have enough money to get another bike.... I Hope
ZRX1100 Kawasaki.
You need Velcro on your pants to keep you in the saddle. :D The most dangerous part about this bike is the small rocks when taking corners too fast! :o
Have the road rash to prove it too.
yeah i binned it on the first roundabout!13kg cylinder of r404,tevs and driers all down the road ,went back got the van ,....aint looked back since!oh i ride an XR250R3 for trail riding.Quote:

Eggs, don't know if you're interested but Classic Bike magazine devoted a whole issue to stinkwheels this month, the Elsie & RG are both in there.Quote:

Just down the road from you, Cleethorpes. I keep it quiet tho as employers get nervous when you say you ride bikes. They seem to think it means endless days off recovering from gravel rash. :rolleyes:Quote:

The last time I had a bike (and the first) was in 1974. I used it as the main transport during the hot summer of 1975 - great, but I had to trade it in for 4 wheels to transport the family when the weather turned cold and i've never looked back.Quote:

Steve, I didn't think they let you into North Lincs if you couldn't ride a bike.
A pic of my moped project:) Anybody else got pics of their 2-wheeled steeds?http://groups.msn.com/z1300ridersclu...oto&PhotoID=57

I have a Kawasaki ZRX1100 and a couple of old Jap Bikes. It's been my only sanity for 30 years.
I have a specialized that does a hooor of miles to the pint.
Cheap to run and no tax required:eek:
When I saw this final decision was to buy Volvo 240 ;)
