- low head pressure ,system will work unstable:rolleyes:
- very hi head pressure,system will work unstable:rolleyes: if the evaporator is small then you will be working on low suction as well- liquid slugging
- this is info offhand there will be many more symptomes!!:eek:

Where does the instability come from? Are you thinking on terms of driving pressure-difference across the orifice & possible hunting?
The system will be overcondensing resulting in an unstable supply of liquid at the tev inlet.
Low head pressure without a c/fan spped controller can contribute to low pressure trips certainly on cold days.
A 2 ton compressor on a 1 ton system will result in very high discharge pressure and overheating of the compressor providing it doesnt trip the HP safety first.
Are these theoretical questions or are you building a system like this?
