Firstly, you have to approach things from the right direction, ask your current employer for advise and request more challenging work stuff, and keep things moving along and if possible ask for a transfer/ even loaned to another company for a trail period.
Mainly because all young techs., know it all. Once you get outside your comfort zone you could be struggling. I am thinking your current employer is breaking you in slowly.
Service vehicles are not the be all and end all, beleive me. When I put a young tech in a vehicle, he has to perform and I own him lock stock and barrel. A huge jump for most guys. Reality stricks hard and fast.

I have asked to do more complex work and they have the work they are just stupid about it. giving the work to somebody else in the company.I'm with somebody doing his journeymans course and doesn't follow arctick rules. And the boss doesn't care.

You need to look at where you are - your company helped you get there. Could you tell us if you are an indentured apprentice? I know that most are not, if not then it would be easy to change as far as paperwork goes. Personally I would look twice at an apprentice who made a commitment then changed half way through. I also know that there are good and poor companies to serve with. It depends on where you want to head in this industry. Attitude is the most important tool you have to get what you want. I have an apprentice who I like to train as he is keen and turns up on time where there is another who does not pay enough attention and - well doesn't know what time of the day it is, like turning up over 1/2 hour late most days. If you talk to the big boss at your work and convince him/her you are committed to be a star you might get what you are looking for. As for extra courses you could look into AIRAH who is our industry organisation in Ausie and look at doing some one or two day courses like daiken (free) or specialist courses. Every little bit counts.
