  • ? about hydrocarbon gas

i am thinking about starting to learning a bit about hydrocarbon gases to save money. can any one tell me what the difference between r290a and lpg is . can any one tell me why u cant just use pure lpg in a fridge all u would need is a pt chart for it. does lpg have more moister in it
because from what i can work out it seems to work fine we tried it in a domestic fridge and ran fine for 4 years

      R290 is a CLEAN refrigerant

lpg ect is dirty, moisture and non condensables and foreign bodies

also regrigerant grade hydrocarbons are stenchless/no smell

as the stenching agent is absorbed by drier cores

would say you got lucky with your domestic

      http://www.refrigeration-engineer.co...ydrocarbon-gas

and these dont change by reposting the same question

      thread should be deleted really

Re: High suction pressure and high head due to overfeeding expansion valve?

R134a is still used in older cars including this Saab. New cars are not allowed to be sold using R134a in European Union. Sorry for being unclear.

Can you clarify which refrigerant you charged system.
Normally have to charge liquid for synthetic refrigerants so blend remains as designed.

    Re: Ammonia refrigerant leval

Maximum level in liquid receiver is 80% so if pressure relief valve was to vent, would vent gas, not liquid.
If level to high liquid can bank up

Re: Discharge pressure of ammonia compressor

Maximum discharge pressure if system is designed correctly is 10-15% below lowest relief valve setting on high side of plant.
    Relief valve should
